Informed Consent

Rights

Your right to be fully informed about and agree to any action the school wants to take regarding your child's special education, including evaluations and initial placement. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Informed Consent in context

Informed Consent comes up across the IEP process — in your IEP document, during meeting prep, and in the federal rights that protect your child. IEP Ally explains where it shows up and what to do about it.
